Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, in speaking about California's controversial Gay Marriage Proposition 8, vowed on Sunday, June 14, ""to put this issue back on the ballot." 1
If Mayor Villaraigosa succeeds, this would be the third time that Californians have been coerced into voting for Gay Marriage, when they have already made it clear that they are not in favor of two men, or two women, being called husband and wife.
By the way, Mayor Villaraigosa is a Roman Catholic, who, if you recall, was recently involved in a personal public scandal (cheating on his wife). It would be nice if Mayor Villaraigosa would set a better role model for young Latino men in the Los Angeles area, who look up to him as their Mayor.

California Supreme Court Finally Gets It Right (Almost) About Same-Sex Marriage and Prop 8: Gay Marriage No Longer Legal
The California Supreme Court finally got it almost right on Tuesday, May 26. Same-sex (aka gay) marriage is now illegal in the State of California.
Why shouldn't it be? California voters voted twice on this issue and made it clear that they didn't want same-sex marriage to be legal in California, but the liberal court system did not want to believe this truth. So it is good news that the California Supreme Court finally gets it.
The other side of the issue, though, is that the 18,000 same-sex couples who were already married prior to November 0f 2008, when the California Supreme Court was ignoring the wishes of California voters, will remain married! This seems odd, because how can same-sex marriage be legal for some gay couples, and illegal for the rest?
The California Supreme Court should have declared all same-sex marriages performed in November of 2008 to be illegal also, since the very legality of a California Supreme Court judge declaring that he has more authority than California voters is unethical, and maybe even illegal in itself.
An interesting sidebar to all of this is that prior to the Proposition 8 election, an ad was aired repeatedly by gay activists on Los Angeles television stations, declaring that gay couples have no rights in California, and that denying gay couples these rights was equal to denying rights to Jews in Nazi Germany's holocaust during WWII.
The fact of the matter is that even during the airing of those ads, full rights to same-sex couples were already in force, guaranteed by law in the state of California. The conservative rebuttal to Proposition 8 even mentioned the exact numbering of the law in my Official Voters' Guide.
So this was a downright lie on the part of gay activists, intent on deceiving the public at large. Fortunately, though, this deceptive tactic didn't work, because California voters still voted against gay marriage.
In this morning's Los Angeles Times (May 27) article, the truth has finally come out about this advertising deception:
"'Proposition 8 merely 'carves out a narrow and limited exception' to the state constitutional protection gays and lesbians now receive, Chief Justice Ronald M. George wrote for the majority.'"
"The court majority said same-sex couples would continue to have the right to choose life partners and enter into 'committed, officially recognized and protected family relationships' that enjoy all the benefits of marriage under the state's domestic partnership law."
"'Like opposite-sex couples, same-sex couples enjoy this protection not as a matter of legislative grace, but of constitutional right,' George wrote."
"UC Berkeley constitutional law professor Goodwin Liu said the ruling shows "the court continues to be very deferential to the processes of direct democracy in California."
In spite of the above quotes regarding the legal rights of same-sex couples in California, an Associate Justice disagrees:
"In a separate, concurring opinion, Associate Justice Kathryn Mickle Werdegar noted some rights married couples have that domestic partners do not, and suggested that the state now has the duty 'to eliminate the remaining important differences.'"
What are those "important differences?" The Los Angeles Times article doesn't mention them.

Memorial Day TV: ABC Airs Gay Lesbian Marriage On "All My Children"
I am totally shocked by ABC's decision to air a gay lesbian marriage on "All My Children", an ABC daytime television soap opera, on Memorial Day, when children and teens are home from school. Not only were children and teenagers, especially vulnerable female teenagers, able to watch two women being married, but also kissing on the lips.
This outrageously liberal scene was aired on KABC TV's "All My Children" just a short time ago, but note that "All My Children" is aired all over the country, maybe the world, in whatever time zones are appropriate for any given area.
There is no way this can be an accident, seeing as the California Courts are expected to make an official decision Tuesday, May 26, about whether the voters of California get to see their Vote Against Gay Marriage upheld or ignored.
The fact that ABC (owned by The Walt Disney Company, by the way) would make a choice to air this episode of All My Children at all is deplorable enough in itself, but to choose Memorial Day as the day of the airing is irresponsible, irreverent, and despicable.
Today, Memorial Day, is the day that Americans honor those heroic soldiers that died for the sake of American freedom. I am certain that the liberty Americans recognize in the United States of America didn't include gay marriage in the minds of America's founding fathers.

Freddie Mercury: Would He Vote For Or Against Gay Marriage?
My guess is that you probably won't hear about Queen's famous rocker Freddie Mercury, and his amazing love for a woman, Mary Austin, from most gay activist organizations. In case you're visiting from an unknown planet,Freddie Mercury was gay (no pun intended).
Gay activists want heterosexuals to believe that not allowing gays to marry is tantamount to being a Jew-hater in Nazi Germany. In other words, that being gay is equal to being a member of a religious denomination, such as Judaism (Gayism?).
In fact, there was a television advertisement implying this shortly before Californians voted against gay marriage a second time, in spite of the California Court's previous positive ruling. I saw the ad myself, and it implied that if you don't vote in favor of gay marriage, you are an intolerant racist bigot.
I'm sorry, but homosexuality isn't a religion. While it is true that Hitler's Nazi henchmen killed about 6 million Jews, many homosexuals and practically wiped out the entire Gypsy population in Europe, along with torturing the mentally challenged, and others, that still doesn't make homosexuality a religion or a race. It is a sexual preference, nothing more and nothing less.
Would Freddie Mercury have been in favor of gay marriage had he made it to 2009? I don't think so. Freddie only had eyes, in his soul, in his innermost being, for a woman, Mary Austin. I don't believe that the thought of marrying a man ever even entered his brain.

Freddie Mercury: His Heart Belonged To Mary Austin
It is well known that Freddie Mercury, rock star of Queen (real name Farrokh Bulsara), practiced a homosexual lifestyle and was one of the earliest celebrities to die of AIDS as a direct result of his promiscuous gay behavior. Nevertheless, in spite of all that, Freddie Mercury persisted to proclaim his undying love for a woman named Mary Austin.
"He once said of Austin- 'All my lovers asked me why they couldn't replace Mary (Austin) but it's simply impossible. The only friend I've got is Mary and I don't want anybody else. To me, she was my common-law wife. To me, it was a marriage. We believe in each other, that's enough for me. I couldn't fall in love with a man the same way as I have with Mary.'"[21] 1

Proposition 8

Freddie Mercury on Marriage: "To me, SHE was my common-law wife. To me, it was a marriage."
If Freddie Mercury of the rock band Queen were alive today, would he have voted Yes or No on Proposition 8, California's heavily controversial gay marriage amendment? I believe that Freddie Mercury would have cast a Yes vote, yes meaning, in the case of Proposition 8, that he would favor traditional marriage between a man and his wife, and not gay marriage.
Why? The love of Freddie Mercury's life was a woman named Mary Austin, in spite of his many sexual liasons with men. Freddie said that he considered Mary Austin to be his wife.*
Did Freddie Mercury write the song entitled "Love of My Life," for a man? No, the song "Love of My Life" was written for Mary Austin. **
Note: View You Tube slide show of Freddie Mercury and Mary Austin below.
"In the early 1970s Mercury had a long-term relationship with a girlfriend named Mary Austin (whom he had met through guitarist Brian May). He lived with Austin for many years. However, by the mid-1970s, the singer began an affair with a male record executive at Elektra Records; this ultimately resulted in the end of his relationship with Austin.[40] Mercury and Austin nevertheless remained close friends through the years, with Mercury often referring to her as his only true friend. In a 1985 interview, Mercury said of Austin, 'All my lovers asked me why they couldn't replace Mary [Austin], but it's simply impossible. The only friend I've got is Mary, and I don't want anybody else. *To me, she was my common-law wife. To me, it was a marriage. We believe in each other, that's enough for me.'"[41] **He also wrote several songs about Austin, the most notable of which is 'Love of My Life'. Mercury was also the godfather of Mary's eldest son, Richard.[33]" 1
In fact, Freddie loved Mary so much that he left most of his enormous wealth to Mary Austin.
"In his will Mercury left the vast majority of his wealth, including his home and recording royalties, to Mary Austin, and the remainder to his parents and sister. He further left £500,000 to his chef Joe Fanelli, £500,000 to his personal assistant Peter Freestone, £100,000 to his driver Terry Giddings, and £500,000 to Jim Hutton.[50] Mary Austin continues to live at Mercury's home, Garden Lodge, Kensington, with her family.[50] Hutton moved back to the Republic of Ireland permanently in 1995, where he still lives. He was involved in a 2000 biography of Mercury, Freddie Mercury, the Untold Story, and also gave an interview for The Times for what would have been Mercury's 60th birthday.cf. [46]" 1

Gay Activists Continue To Harass Mormons
Please click the following links so you can see for yourself the intolerant actions against Mormons that are being perpetrated by gay activists. The gay community likes to think of themselves as being the most tolerant of all tolerant human beings. Who do they think they're kidding?

California Gays Blame Mormons For Yes Vote On Proposition 8
The Gay Community isn't very cheerful due to the fact that California's voters voted in favor of Proposition 8, which makes gay marriage illegal for the second time. Mormons (Latter-Day Saints), who happen to believe strongly in traditional marriage, are being targeted by gay activists who claim they are largely responsible for the "yes" vote on Proposition 8.
It is unfortunate that Mormons have to be the target of hostile gay activists who just don't seem to get the fact that they are not being discriminated against. Homosexuality is not a religion, nor is it a race, even though this was implied in one of their pre-Election ads.
The unhappy, and not-so-gay, gay activists claim that Mormons put up most of the money to fund Proposition 8. Does this justify making scapegoats out of Mormons?

Californians Tell The World They Don't Want Gay Marriage
Californians voted "yes" on November 4, 2008 for Proposition 8, one of the most controversial propositions in the country. According to the Los Angeles Times, the vote was:
Yes 52.5%
No 47.5%
Precincts Reporting - 100%
"We caused Californians to rethink this issue," Proposition 8 strategist Jeff Flint said.
"Eight years ago, Californians voted 61% to define marriage as being only between a man and a woman."
"The California Supreme Court overturned that measure, Proposition 22, in it May 15 decision legalizing same-sex marriage on the grounds that the state Constitution required equal treatment of gay and lesbian couples."
At least conservative voters in California received some solace, in spite of the unfortunate fact that John McCain/Sarah Palin lost the Presidential Election to Barack Obama/Joe Biden. Will the delightful Sarah Palin run for President of the United States in 2012? There is already some surprisingly positive talk about that possibility in the liberal media.
Conservatives, do not lose heart! Instead, continue to instruct others less knowledgeable than yourselves about the merits of being a conservative. Pray that the newly elected President and Vice-President of the United States of America, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, turn out to be miraculously less liberal than we previously thought.
